Pure Fun.
Always Thrilling.

That’s the key to Gamble Sands. With this incredible Best New Course design that kicked off the resort in 2014, renowned architect David McLay Kidd proved you can have both challenge and fun all wrapped into one. He pulled that off by providing wide fairways that run firm and fast, encouraging players to use their imagination and creativity in approaching each shot just as you would on the world’s greatest links courses.

“We want you to play your best golf at Gamble Sands,” McLay Kidd says.

Majestic

Between the spectacular Cascade Mountains and the ever-present beauty of the Columbia River, Gamble Sands is a feast for the senses. Throughout your round, you’re removed from the distractions of urban life, allowing you to focus on having a great time on one of the best courses in the world. This is pure golf — allowing you to engage the course and your playing companions on a journey you’ll always remember, and will want to experience again and again.

“What does playable mean? It means a place to miss. It means the ability to have some chance of recovery. It means a wide-enough fairway that you can get the ball in play, even if it’s not on the aggressive scoring line. I can give it plenty of additional width for misses around the green so that you can make bogey with relative ease. But you can’t make birdie with impunity. It takes real effort to make a birdie.”

The Ultimate Golf Escape

There are few things more enjoyable than waking up, grabbing a coffee or breakfast, and walking to the first tee. But that’s exactly what Gamble Sands offers with its three award-winning courses, as well as its acclaimed putting course.

Wake up under the blue Washington sky and head out to tackle Scarecrow, Gamble Sands or QuickSands. After a day on the course, you can dine at one of our two restaurants, head back to the Inn at Gamble Sands and start all over again the next day.
